OUR GOLDEN HERITAGE
The club was established in 1845 and in the 164 years since, has continuously produced teams and individual cricketers of high quality. Two of Yorkshire’s and England’s greatest players, Herbert Sutcliffe, and Sir Leonard Hutton began their careers here, and Sir Len continued to have a lifetime’s involvement with the club. In addition, St Lawrence has produced many exceptional cricketers who have gone on to play for Yorkshire or other First Class counties, and the occasional one for England!

A FAMILY CLUB
St Lawrence have a long history of being a family club. This goes back to Herbert Sutcliffe, whose father played here, and Sir Leonard played alongside his brothers. This tradition continues to the present day with the club currently having 4 father and son combinations playing in various teams.
The Club continues to be proud of its history and true to its tradition, whilst also being committed to the future.
